Little, Stereotyper. 16mo (6 5/8" x 4 3/8"); 24pp; printed wrapper, wood-cut with a vignette of a seated family facing a standing man who is pointing up to a heavenly sign "Total Abstinence"; publisher's string binding, stab holes with brown string for hanging; foxing and age-toned paper; fore-edge and bottom edge margins trimmed; very good minus.

An almanac produced by the Temperance Society featuring moon phases and eclipses, monthly sun and moon rise and set for the cities of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond, Charleston and New Orleans. Advice from the Society includes an address "To Laboring Men of Every Class," "To Mechanics," "To Farmers," "To Young Women," and "To Young Men," "To Parents," "To Professors of Religion," and "To Ministers of the Gospel." "Temperate Drinkers" and "Drunkards" are also addressed. Statistics about intemperance and advice are given.
