Ephemera. Very Good +. - TLS on the author's letterhead, dated November 9, 1978, in which Seuss politely turns down an interview, along with Eddington's request for a commissioned drawing. He does include a publisher's promotional photograph and sheet of biographical data. All enclosed in a light blue envelope bearing Seuss' name and address.

- TLS on the author's letterhead, dated January 28, 1978. Seuss gives permission for Eddington to use his work in a traveling exhibit, instructing him to reach out to UCLA. He kindly informs Eddington that direct purchase of original drawings and paintings would be impossible, as he has pledged all past and future artwork to existing college and foundation collections. - Secretarial letter on the author's letterhead, dated July 16, 1979. Claudia Prescott (current President Emerita of the Dr. Seuss Foundation) reiterates the impossibility of Eddington purchasing an original drawing from Seuss. In a personalized, light blue envelope.

- Secretarial letter on the author's letterhead, dated May 2, 1980. Claudia Prescott informs Patrick Eddington that Dr. Seuss is out of town, but promises that he will autograph books for Eddington's students at earliest availability. In a personalized, light blue envelope.

- TNS, dated March 26, 1981. On stationery featuring an image of the Cat in the Hat. Dr. Seuss notes that books sent by Eddington have been posted, signed. He also expresses regret that he has no posters to send.

- TLS on the author's letterhead, dated March 24, 1983. Seuss apologetically denies Eddington's request for a loan of material. In a personalized, light blue envelope. Patrick Eddington (aka "Pat the Cat") was a Utah artist and former high school art teacher, who spent over two decades corresponding with numerous artists and authors.

Proprieter Ken Sanders has been buying, selling and collecting books since childhood. He co-owned and ran the legendary Cosmic Aeroplane Bookstore in the 1970s and founded Dream Garden Press, our in-house publishing company, in 1980.
