NY: Granary Books, 1993. One of forty-one copies. Signed by Fahrner and Gallo.. Hardcover. Fine. Square quarto. (50)pp. Mysticality, typography, and abstraction here combine to evoke the high style, and even higher spiritual aspirations, of Blake's poetry. Fahrner's illustrations throughout respond cogently and intentionally to Blake's poetry, just as Blake did in his own work as an artist, engraver, and publisher. Along with Gallo's lettering - aptly described at the colophon as cyberpunk/deconstructionist - the whole presents a dynamic visual and textual experience, approaching typography as ecstasy. Bound by Daniel Kelm in plain cloth with decorated paper over boards. Housed in drop back box, this shelf-sunned and in fulfillment of its purpose, hence a fine copy.
