Santiago de Chile: Ediciones Minga, 1983. Large quarto (32.7 × 22 cm). Original staple-stitched pictorial self-wrappers (newspaper print); [28] pp. with reproductions of photographs by Paz Errázuriz and illustrations. Somewhat toned in general; newsprint somewhat fragile and with small marginal tears.

Very rare first printing of the lyrical work printed in the form of a newspaper, in which Lihn deals with the social and political situation in Chile during the Chilean military dictatorship. Lihn maintained close working relationships with the Chilean neo-avant-gardes of the "Escena de Avanzada". Not least, he had also studied fine arts and organized happenings. Lihn published poems, columns, and opinion pieces in the leading neo-avant-garde journals in South America, such as "La Época" and "Revista de Arte". Furthermore, he also drew and published comics. "El Paseo Ahumada" occupies a special place in Lihn's oeuvre, as it paradigmatically demonstrates his understanding of 'urban poetry'. The texts are accompanied by the photographs of Paz Errázuriz. The Chilean photographer achieved international renown with her series on completely impoverished areas of Chile, the lives of mentally handicapped people in the psychiatric clinic in Santiago de Chile, old people, Sinti and Roma, the circus world, boxers, tango clubs, the cross-dresser milieu and the indigenous Kawesqar people.

As of February 2025, no copies of the first edition located via OCLC.
