  • Location: San Francisco
  • Date: 1969
  • Illustrator: Cooley

Vibrant color print, 9.75" x 7.5", produced by the Committee for Homosexual Freedom of San Francisco for their first protest on March 20, 1969, following the firing of Gale Whittington from the States Steamship Company.

Printed at the Sutter Street Commune's Free Print Shop in the weeks following the first issue of Kaliflower, the print combines phallic symbols with psychedelic imagery, the flier is a visually striking piece of the pre-Stonewall gay rights movement, and a crucial connection between the radical social and antiwar movements of the time with the nascent struggle for sexual liberation.

A scarce piece, both in commerce and in institutional collections.
