Ciudad de la Habana: Editorial Arte y Literatura, 1988. Very Good+. Ciudad de la Habana: Editorial Arte y Literatura, 1988. First Cuban Edition. Small octavo (18cm); publisher's pictorial card wrappers; 231pp. Very light shelf wear, textblock a bit toned, else a Very Good or better copy. Forms part of the series Coleccion Dragon.

Rare Cuban edition of Lem's hard sci-fi novel first published in 1964 and considered one of the earliest novels to describe microrobots and artificial swam intelligence. As the rear wrapper describes it, the novel is a prescient "tragedy of a civilization more concerned with technical progress than with ethical or ecological concerns, and it models the possibility of an inorganic intelligent development based on the unrestrained perfection of electronics" (our translation).

One copy in OCLC as of May, 2026, at the National Library of Poland.
