Los Angeles, 1943. Very good.. Thirteen issues. Stapled, hole-punched in margin. Light wear. Pacifist newsletter edited by Arthur Louis Joquel II, a noted science fiction fan and 'zine author. Utilizing his previous knowledge and talents from the world of fanzines, he established the Society of Juridica in 1940 to advocate for a peaceful existence and oppose the draft. Most of the articles in The Peace Witness are compilations of articles from other sources. The run here covers nearly all of 1942 and the fall of 1943. Present are: Volume IV, Numbers 1 to 8 (first leaf only of Number 7); Volume V, Numbers 1 to 3; Volume VII, Numbers 1 and 2.
