Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott & Co, 1860. Very good.. 94pp. 12mo. Contemporary brown cloth, stamped in blind and gilt. Corners lightly bumped and worn. Contemporary ownership inscription on front flyleaf. Very minor foxing. Posthumous work by Mary Grafton Thomas, writing under the pen name Enrica. The volume contains more than forty poems, some previously published in magazines to which Thomas was a contributor. Thomas died of consumption shortly before the book was published with the foreword noting that "her pen, which had been employed upon more elaborate work than the contents of this volume, was not laid aside until within a few hours of the time when she exchanged the lyre for the harp of the heavenly land." Scarce; we locate copies in OCLC at New York Public Library, University of Illinois, Princeton, and Brown University.
