New York: Stoddard-Sutherland Press, 1912. Near Fine. New York: Stoddard-Sutherland Press, 1912. Bifolium handbill (23 cm). Creasing from previous folds, mild rubbing to extremities, folded slightly off-center and light smudging to margin of Addams speech, otherwise a Near Fine copy of this suffrage handbill urging women who did have the right to vote in their states to vote for the Progressive ticket to make equal suffrage national.

Social and political activist Jane Addams endorsed Theodore Roosevelt on the Progressive Party ticket in 1912 and gave a speech at the Party convention in Chicago where he was nominated. Roosevelt responded to her speech, both of which are printed in the interior of the handbill: "A great party has pledged itself to the protection of children, to the care of the aged, to the relief of overworked girls, to the safeguarding of burdened men." .
