Boston, Massachusetts: J.H. & C.M. Sprague, 1900. Good. Toned with spotting, letter folds, modern paper repairs to verso.. A scarce broadside advertising a short-lived product titled "Sprague's Patent Horse Breaker", a contraption that claimed to be "the only machine that will actually and thoroughly break colts, young horses, old horses, ugly horses, vicious horses, kicking horses, contrary horses and horses that are afraid of steam cars, electric cars, road rollers, bicycles, tricycles, umbrellas, baby carriages, bands of music" and more. Features a line illustration of the contraption in use, with the "Breaker" whipping the horses and forcing them to move forward while fireworks are going off, trains are going by, and a man is firing a gun. Does not depict currently accepted methods of horse training, to say the least. Measures approx. 12" by 8.5
