A printed booklet prepared by the North Carolina Alcoholic Rehabilitation Program for members of the clergy, offering advice for how to "cope more adequately with the problems of alcoholism as they relate to the clergy" (Introduction). Includes several chapter penned by different religious leaders on the following subjects: the church and alcohol problems; the response of religion to alcoholism; how the minister may help an alcoholic; pastoral counseling and the family of the alcoholic; working with youth in relation to alcohol; and a final evaluation. Provides interesting insight into how religious leaders approached alcoholism at a time when it was first beginning to be conceptualized as a disease rather than a moral failing. Single vol. (7.75" by 5.25"), pp. 50, [2], in original green printed wrps. Ink stamp of previous owner to upper wrapper.
