n.p.: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943. Very Good +. N.p.: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943. Previously folded single sheet V-mail (28 cm). Hand-drawn family portrait in blue and red pencil and marker in message space, dated July 1943 in pen at top. Mild bleed-through of marker on verso for most of illustration and some text. Minor dust-soiling, few bumps to bottom margin, a few tears along previous fold creases, and tiny perforations where folds meet when made into an envelope. Otherwise a Very Good or better example of American Victory Mail.

Signed "Love, Jack" and depicting a cheerful, two-toned family of three. With no addressee or censor's stamp, this V-Mail was likely pocketed by the serviceman who drew it and brought home after the war. Most V-Mail, when sent, was microfilmed, the original discarded, and the microfilm sent in rolls to be reproduced once at the home front and mailed accordingly to cut down on mail weight.
