274 pp. volume on shop design and advertising, with scattered illustrations throughout from photographs and drawings. Octavo (7 3/8 x 5 inches). Silver boards with stamped black geometric design, housed in cardboard slipcase with colorful abstract design to cover. Handling wear and edgewear to slipcase, some soiling and foxing, light soiling along spine of volume, minor mostly marginal foxing, overall very good. Tokyo: Atoriesha, 1930. This volume highlights the importance of shop design and advertising in the form of posters and shop windows. The author argues that advertising posters, lighting, and shop windows also help embellish the street. There are approximately 30 illustrated plates throughout, depicting buildings lit up at night, shop windows, advertising vehicles, posters, packaging, typefaces, logos, and signs.

Some of the designers whose work is featured in the illustrations include Le Corbusier (Pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau) and Melnikov (Pavillon de l'U.R.S.S.) at the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, as well as Mallet-Stevens (Alfa-Romeo garage).

As of April 2025, OCLC locates only two holdings of this individual volume worldwide, both in Japanese libraries, and scattered institutional holdings of a collected volume which contains this work.
