Woodrow Wilson. Typed Letter Signed as president. Washington, D.C.: 1917. One page, 22.5 x 17.4 cm. White House letterhead, December 14, 1917. To George Washington University President William Miller Collier, Auburn, New York. With the original envelope. Very good.

William Miller Collier was United States Ambassador to Spain from 1905 to 1909, the president of George Washington University from 1918 to 1921, and United States Ambassador to Chile from 1921 to 1928. Wilson thanks him for a letter "concerning the attitude of the trustees of George Washington University and all those associated with it with regard to the country and its present policies. I thank you warmly." Signature is a bit smeared or spread into the paper, but still nice.
