Accounts for the Brotherhood of St. John in Moosburg (Bavaria). Entries range from one to two dozen lines, revenues on versos and expenses on rectos. Several fascicles begin with a multiyear income summary. Moosburg’s loss of ecclesiastical power in the late 16th century sparked the city’s decline, which accelerated during the Thirty Years’ War. In 1702 half the town burned.
            Dated 1796, the two laid-in documents are Matthäus Fux’s leatherwork apprenticeship indenture at nearby Dingolfing and the baptismal certificate of ?his son. In good condition (first and last page of each fascicle dusty, those for 1733-8 quite soiled).
